4 Legged Jacket
The British Gas Armada development was a complex of facilities created to exploit a number of gas condensate fields located the central North Sea following their discovery in 1980. Central to the development was the provision of a Drilling and Production Platform which served as a hub to other assets in the area.
In September 1995 a contract was awarded by British Gas Exploration & Production (BG E&P) to fabricate and loadout the 4 leg Armada Platform Jacket. Designed to be lift installed the Jacket which weighed over 5,300 Tonnes was completed in 15 months.
Following loadout and sail away in March 1997,and subsequent offshore installation and hook up, the platform commenced production October of that year.
