Riser Platform – Topsides Jacket & Piles
From the start of production in 1976 until 1992 the surplus gas from the Beryl field was flared off due to their being no pipeline through which the gas could be exported onshore for domestic use. In line with the establishment of a gas pipeline network extending into the Beryl area of the North Sea, a platform was designed to accommodate the necessary riser pipework and gas compression equipment required to enable the export of gas from the field.
Following the tendering process for fabrication of the offshore facilities, the Yard was awarded a contract to build the Jacket, Piles, Link Bridge and the lower Topsides Module.
