Topsides, Jacket and Piles
The Audrey field was one of a number of natural gas discoveries in a cluster known as the “A” Fields located off the Lincolnshire coast. Although first discovered in 1976, development of Audrey was held back until the mid-1980’s when the Lincolnshire Offshore Gas Gathering System (LOGGS) had been established. The LOGGS system provided a processing hub and network of pipelines through which gas from a number of reservoirs in the area could be processed and exported for domestic use. In 1986 Phillips awarded the Ardersier Yard a contract to build Audrey A, which was a facility typical of many un-manned Southern North Sea gas platforms.
The completed Wellhead Deck, Jacket and Piles sailed from the Yard in 1987 and with the platform being installed over pre-drilled wells, production offshore followed soon after. After peak output from the facility in the early 1990’s production gradually decreased and finally ceased in 2016.
