The Alba Phase IIb project was part of an upgrade to Chevron’s Alba North platform facilities which included the building of three modules at the Yard. The modules housed a variety of equipment including a Generation, Separation and Water Treatment packages which were designed to increase the fluids handling capacity on the platform. Given the congested layout on top of the Alba platform the modules were designed to be hung from the side of the existing structure, thus giving two of the modules their unconventional tall narrow appearance.
Upon completion of the project the Modules sailed from the Yard on 29 July to be installed. As of the year 2025 the Alba Platform continued in production.
