Jacket Structure & Piles

Shell SE Inde was one among a cluster of fixed steel platforms in the Shell Indefatigable (Inde) field in the Southern North Sea, approx. 100km NE of Great Yarmouth in approx. 31 metres water depth. As part of the ongoing development of the Inde Field the Yard received a contract from Shell in June 1984 to build a 1200 Tonne eight leg Jacket and 1,500 Tonnes of Piling.

A relatively simple structure with vertical sides, the Jacket was assembled on its side, lifted upright and set down on temporary supports. Thereafter two Lampson Transi-Lift cranes repositioned the structure to enable a lifted load-out onto the transportation barge. The Jacket was completed and loaded out in May 1985 and thereafter the platform was installed in Inde 49/23C (complex).

Production from the Shell Inde field ceased in 2005
