4 No Jacket Structures
Discovered in 1968, the Tyra Field contained the largest gas condensate deposits in the Danish sector of the North Sea. The field was divided into two distinct sectors, those being Tyra East and Tyra West, also through time a number of other deposits were found in the surrounding area.
In May 1981 Dansk Boreselskab awarded the Yard a contract to build four Jackets for their Tyra and Gorm development, with three being required for the Tyra East field and one for the Gorm satellite field. All four jackets were similar in design weighing 1350 to 1550 Tonnes and standing in 36m to 38m water depth.
The Yard completed and delivered all four Jackets in a period between February and April 1982, The Tyra and Gorm fields began production in 1984 and, after redevelopment works in 2019, production is expected to continue for at least another 25 years
