The main Yard assembly areas for Topsides was located in front of the Deck Building and the assembly areas for Jackets were to the west of the Deck Building and around the Jacket Slipways. Having established the Yard within such a considerable land area there was normally sufficient scope for the layout and assembly of structures for a number of concurrent projects. Some detailed planning and co-ordination was necessary however with regards to the movement of assemblies across crowded workspaces. The images in this Yard Facilities section give an indication of some of the assembly work undertaken in these areas of the yard.
